The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People’s Republic of China His Excellency Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina made a courtesy visit to his Chinese counterpart His Excellency Wang Qing and officially welcomed him in Sierra Leone. The diplomats discussed deepening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Ndomahina applauded China for relaxing Covid-19 travel restrictions which will enhance people-to-people exchanges in the areas of education trade and other opportunities. Ambassador Ndomahina expressed his admiration for the one-China policy which is synonymous with the governing SLPP’s One Country and One People ideology.
Also, Chief Ndomahina commended the peoples’ centred approach form of leadership that both His Excellency the President Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio and President Xi Jinping have in common, hence the reason for this government prioritizing the Free Quality Education, Quality and affordable healthcare delivery, Sustainable infrastructural development, and Agriculture.
In his response, the Chinese Ambassador, His Excellency Wang Qing shows gratitude for the friendly visit and says he is anticipating more bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially Chinese companies that are contributing to revenue generation, job opportunities, and community development.
Ambassador Wang assured the people of Sierra Leone that CoViD restrictions have been relaxed, and China is open to international travelers opening a new door of opportunities between the two countries.
