Thirty-one years old Osman Turay a driver made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on a four count charges to wit Conspiracy contrary to law, Robbery with violence contrary to section 23 (1) (b) of the Larceny Act 1916 as repealed and replaced by Section 2 of Act No.16 of 1971, wounding contrary to section 20 of the offences against the persons Act 1861 and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.

According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 20th October 2024 at Goderich Street the western area in Freetown conspired together and with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit Robbery with violence.

Count two further stated that on the same date and place the accused person robbed Mohamed Amadu Kamara of one assorted colour cross bag containing one infinix Hot 40I mobile phone and physical cash of three thousand four hundred and fifty Leones all to the total value of five thousand nine hundred and eighty Leones (5980) and immediately after such Robbery did use personal violence to the said Mohamed Amadu Kamara.

Count three and four stated that on the same date and place the accused person maliciously wounded and assaulted Mohamed Amadu Kamara in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person No plea taken

The prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of police Aminatu Daboh sought for a short adjournment date because her witness was absent

Meanwhile Magistrate Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of one hundred thousand Leones with one surety in like sum the surety must be resident in Freetown surety should produce valid national identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar Matter adjourned to the 18th December 2024.
