Sierra Leone Women’s U-17 National Team paid a courtesy visit to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Headquarters in Kingtom. This visit follows their incredible qualification victory against the Central African Republic in the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup African Qualifiers.
The team was warmly welcomed by SLFA Vice President 1, Harold Nat Johnson, alongside the Chairman of the North East Region, Brima Jalloh, and the Director of Competition, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay.
In his address, Vice President 1, speaking on behalf of SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima and the executive committee, congratulated the team on their outstanding performance. He commended their hard work and resilience, urging them to remain focused and determined as they prepare to face Guinea in the second preliminary round in March.
He emphasised that the journey is far from over and encouraged the players to believe in their abilities to eliminate Guinea and progress to the final qualifying round. He also reassured the team of the federation’s unwavering support and commitment to the growth and promotion of female football in Sierra Leone.
𝐇𝐚𝐣𝐚 Ramatulai Kamara, the leader of the delegation, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the SLFA leadership for their continuous support and dedication to advancing women’s football. She also encouraged the players to stay motivated and continue to make the nation proud.
The team’s achievements so far highlight the potential of female football in Sierra Leone and serve as an inspiration to young girls across the country.
