The opposition All People Congress has yielded to aspect of the Adrian Fisher ruling in constituting a twenty one man committee to plan for the delegate conference. Deputy Scribe Poe Kama conceded that they have no qualm with the ruling and things are proceeding smoothly

The nominations based on quota allocations were done yesterday at 4pm under the watch of the Political Parties Registration Committee.

Nominations came from the factions of the defendant represented by the erstwhile President Ernest Bai Koroma and Secretary General  Yasaneh.

Also the litigant camp represented by Alfred Conteh of the National Reform Group made nominations.

We also gathered that there were nominations of diasporeans. The names of those nominated could not be ascertained as we went to press yesterday.

But latee evening yesterday Ambassador Kabs Kanu posted on his facebook page nine names supposedly from the Ernest Bai Koroma camp

These included: Minkailu Mansaray. Hon Chrenor Maju Bah, Elizabeth Mans, Bai Mahmood; Sidi Yayah Tunis, Karamoh Kabbah, Diana Konomanyei, Andy Macauley, Africanus Sorie Sesay and SBB Dumbuya as Chairman.

According to Deputy Secretary General Pope Kamara “ everything is going on smoothly in tandem with the ruling and the committee formed will prepare the modalities for us to go into delegate conference. He said the constituencies still retain the power to come out with a delegate list.

The Committee formed will among other things review and amend the constitution to especially rescind the selection powers of the chairman. By that ruling Ernest Bai Koroma will cease to be chairman of the party. As at press time we could ascertain who is going serve as ad hoc chairman to take the party to delegate conference.
