On Friday 6th August 2021, a cross section of the Universal Chaplain Corps and Rescue Mission Sierra Leone and Liberia branch has donated some COVID -19 Equipment to the police while paying a courtesy call on the Regional Police Commander South AIG Aiah Edward Samadia at his Regional office in Bo.
According to Dr.Patrick George, the National Commandant for Sierra Leone and Liberia branch, opined that the rationale behind their visit was to honor and recognize the effort of the Regional Police Commander South and the entire SLP in the fight against Covid – 19.
On behalf of the team, Dr. Patrick George donated a medical forehead infared thermometer to the Regional Police Commander South to be used by the Police personnel while executing their respective duties.
He further opined that the donation was borne out of their desires to create the enabling working atmosphere for the safety of security forces in the fight against the deadly pandemic Covid- 19.
Responding, the Regional Police Commander South AIG Aiah Edward Samadia, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police thanked and appreciated the Universal Chaplain Corps & Rescue Mission for their timely intervention and recognition.
He further maintained that the donation will surely enhance the safety of personnel in the conduct of their duties. The AIG reassured them that the donation will be used for its intended purpose.
