Friends of Gassimu Mallah Donates Bikes to BRU in Bo

As they continue to give supports to those in need, the “Friends of Gassimu Mallah” organization has donated three (3) TVS motor bikes to the executive members of the Bike Riders Union in Bo at their district office at Clock Tower in Bo City.

The chairman for the ceremony, Augustine  Sama, who doubles as the Bo District Chairman of Bike Riders Union, thanked Friends of Gassimu Mallah and all invitees at the occasion.

The district chairman said that BRU was very instrumental in the development of the country as they’re also crucial in the transport sector of the country.

Stating the purpose of the gathering, Mr. Sorie Saccoh, regional Vice Chairman of the bike riders’ union southern region, said that Mr. Gassimu Mallah would go down in the history of the bike riders union for considering them in their quest for livelihoods by making such donation. Mr. Saccoh added that it is few people who will think about bike riders.

Femie Rashid, regional chairman bike riders union south, said bike riders union is a group to reckon with. 

“If anyone want to succeed in this country just put hands under BRU. We bike riders union will support you today and tomorrow,” Mr. Rashid said. He furthered that other people always present them negatively, but that Gassimu Mallah came to associate with them, which indicated that they’re useful in society.

Mohamed Lahai Kpaka, chairman, Political Parties Association southern region, called on the bike riders union to support Gassimu Mallah in his aspirations. He noted that he has known Mr. Mallah for ages and described him as a “generous man”.

Making his keynote address at the ceremony, Mr. Gassimu Mallah, on behalf of Friends of Gassimu Mallah, said he was happy to be with bike riders union.  He added that he believed in empowering people, before now he has provided PA system in schools in Bo and has decided to extend help to the Bike riders union. 

He recalled meeting with the executive of the union to identify Bike Riders Union as suitable organization to make such donation. He revealed that he licensed the three (3) motor bikes and also provided licenses to the selected riders.

Mr. Mallah noted that the bikes will be giving to the riders for Le12, 000,000.00 and they will ride to ensure that the union bike use the bikes to help other riders.  He encouraged other people to give support to the bike riders union. 

Mr. Gassimu Mallah said he is complementing the effort of President Julius Maada Bio and the government in empowering the youths.

A beneficiary, Dominic Taywa, thanked Friends of Gassimu Mallah on behalf of his colleague riders. He explained that he was in Kono and came over to Bo to seek for job, noting that fortunately for him, he has got one.

However, many riders turned up to attend the handling over ceremony.
