Sierra Leone defender Ishmael Koroma has signed for Norwegian side Elverum FC, he left Eskilstuna City FK to join Norwegian outfit Elverum Football Club on an 18 month contract as he bid to revive his career.
Ishmail Koroma made nine appearances for Eskilstuna City FK during the first half of the Swedish division 2 (Sodra Svealand) before moving to Norwegian third side.
According to his new deal, Ishmael Koroma will be going straight into the Elverum side as they face Funnefoss Vormsund on August 7th away from home.
Before joining Eskilstuna, the Sierra Leone defender made 16 appearances and was parts of the Vasalunds side that gain promotion to the Swedish Superettan.
Koroma says he delighted and hopes to play more first- team football.
“I am pleased and can’t wait to get started in training with my new teammates” Koroma said.
“I am looking to playing Football outside Sweden. Norway is a good place to start playing though it is not a top level, but I am happy to revive myself again”, Koroma said.
“I am delighted looking forward to this new experience and remain hopeful that it will pay off”, the defender said.
Ishmail Koroma was part of the Sierra Leone team during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers preliminary against Liberia in September 2019 where Leone Stars was knocked out on away goals rule.
