Hon. Princess Kadie Drammy Daramy has commended President Julius Maada Bio for his administration’s achievements in agriculture, education and women’s empowerment, describing the initiatives as significant steps towards national development.
Speaking on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, during the parliamentary debate on the President’s 2026 State Opening Address, Hon. Daramy praised the Government’s efforts to increase local food production and strengthen the agricultural sector.
She highlighted progress under Game Changer One, particularly the increase in local rice production and supply. She noted that the initiative would provide farmers with reliable markets for their produce while improving food security.
Hon. Daramy also praised the achievements under Game Changer Two, particularly the support provided to women, who reportedly account for 95 per cent of the programme’s beneficiaries. She described this as a major step towards empowering women, improving their livelihoods and promoting economic inclusion.
On education, she commended the Government’s Free Quality Education programme, noting its contribution to expanding access to education across the country.
She further highlighted efforts to increase local production of onions and other agricultural products, saying such initiatives would improve availability, reduce reliance on imports and make food more affordable.
Hon. Daramy reaffirmed her support for the Government’s development agenda and called for sustained efforts to consolidate the gains made in agriculture, education and women’s empowerment.
