Mid-West will face Sierra Leone Police in the opening match of the Bravely T20 Premier League on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as the country’s top-tier men’s cricket competition returns for its 17th edition.
The defending champions, Mid-West, will be looking to begin their title defence on a strong note after winning the 2025 Sierra Leone Men’s T20 Cricket Premier League. Both Mid-West and Sierra Leone Police have won the competition six times each, setting the stage for a keenly contested opening encounter.
Preparations for this year’s tournament have included notable player transfers, adjustments to the league structure and rehabilitation work at Kingtom Oval, particularly in the dressing rooms.
Players and groundsmen were seen cleaning the outfield, removing sharp stones, renovating the pitch and levelling uneven areas to ensure the venue is ready for the competition.
Kingtom Oval is also expected to receive a major facelift, with giant backdrops and canopies to be installed around the ground as organizers prepare to welcome fans to what promises to be an exciting edition of the league.
