Aston Villa captain John McGinn, 31, has once again stepped up on the biggest stage, scoring the first goal of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League campaign.
The Scotland midfielder found the net early in Villa’s league-phase opener away to Club Brugge, giving Unai Emery’s side a strong start and setting the tone for their European campaign.
