Rodney Michael has announced his resignation as Chairman of Mighty Blackpool Football Club, ending a leadership journey that began in September 2021.
In a statement shared on his official social media platform, Michael described his time at the helm of the club as an honour, expressing gratitude to elders, supporters, former players, executive members, technical staff, and players for their trust, support, and cooperation throughout his tenure.
The resignation was formally presented during an emergency Executive Committee meeting held at his residence. Members of the committee accepted his decision, while noting their reservations, and indicated that stakeholders, including club elders and supporters, would be informed accordingly.
He expressed deep gratitude to the elders, fans, former players, Executive members, Technical staff and players for their unweaving support and respect throughout his leadership.
Many have Mighty Blackpool FC fans are not with the latest development of the Club as they are currently battling in the Relegation Zone with a single game lift to save their season as they will take BO Rangers FC on the 18th July 2026 at the Southern Arena Stadium.
