A 30-year-old civil servant, Peter Brima, has made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Court No. 2 on Pademba Road in Freetown.

Brima is facing one count of larceny in a dwelling house, contrary to Section 13(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to court records, the alleged offence occurred between Saturday, February 28, and March 1, 2026, at No. 9 Charlotte Village in the Western Area of Freetown. It is alleged that Brima stole $5,210 (equivalent to approximately Le 124,000), property belonging to Lovetta Kamara, from her residence.

When the charge was read and explained in court, no plea was taken as the matter is still at the committal stage.

Defense counsel, Walter Gaber Esq., renewed his bail application on behalf of the accused.

However, Magistrate Fornah denied bail, citing the seriousness of the offence. The accused was therefore remanded in custody.

The matter has been adjourned to May 6, 2026, for further proceedings.
