Bo Rangers Top Leone Rock Premier League After Convincing Win Over Freetown City FC

Bo Rangers produced a composed and convincing performance to defeat Freetown City FC 3-1 in their Matchweek 22 clash at the Approved School Field on Saturday, moving to the top of the Leone Rock Premier League table.

The Elephants started brightly, asserting early control over a Freetown City side that struggled to match the visitors’ intensity and cohesion. Bo Rangers opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Charles Mensah. Freetown City responded well, leveling the score in the 38th minute when Mohamed H. Saffa finished a swift move to make it 1-1.

Minutes into the second half, Paul Kwei Jnr restored Bo Rangers’ lead with a superb 22-yard free-kick in the 48th minute. Freetown City pushed forward in search of an equalizer but were repeatedly denied by a resilient Bo Rangers defense. Abu Komeh sealed the 3-1 victory in the 70th minute, ensuring all three points for the Elephants.

The win sends Bo Rangers to the top of the table with 43 points from 22 matches. Star Sport Academy, who had previously occupied the top spot, fell 2-0 to Kamboi Eagles in Kenema. Freetown City FC remains 14th with 20 points from 22 games.

Freetown City FC will look to bounce back against SLIFA FC on Wednesday at the SLFA Academy, while Bo Rangers prepare for a crucial top-of-the-table showdown against FC Kallon at the Approved School Field on Sunday.
