The alleged incitement case involving Mohamed Moriba, a politician affiliated with the All People’s Congress, has been adjourned by Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown.
The accused is facing one count of incitement, contrary to law.
According to the police charge sheet, the defendant is alleged to have, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Kamalo Village in Karina District, North-West Province of Sierra Leone, created and circulated audio and video clips containing inciting messages intended to cause mayhem, disorder, chaos, and unrest in the country. The material was reportedly posted on TikTok by a platform identified as Salone Gossip Hub.
When the charge was read and explained in court, no plea was taken.
Defence counsel, C. Kamara, requested a short adjournment to facilitate a bail application on behalf of the defendant. The matter has since been adjourned at the instance of the defence.
However, Magistrate Fornah denied bail, citing the seriousness of the offence, and ordered that the accused be remanded at the male correctional facility in Freetown.
The matter has been adjourned to April 2, 2026, for further proceedings.
