JUSTICE UNISA KAMARA ORDERS C&J LAW FIRM AND PARTNERS

The Resident High Court Judge in Makeni Northern Sierra Leone, Justice Unisa Kamara has ordered the C and J law firm and partners to separate and present in the aforementioned court on 14th July, 2021 the nine file case from the class action file including Aiah Fengai, Morie Momoh and others for a speedy trail.

Justice Unisa Kamara made the decision during the court proceeding between Aiah Fengai, Morie Momoh and Seventy three (73) others versus Octea Limited at the Makeni High Court  on Wednesday 16th June, 2021.

 Chernor M. Benedict Jalloh Esq, foremost thanked all for showing up in the Makeni High Court amidst their busy schedule. He pointed out that Wednesday 16th June, 2021 outcome of the high court proceeding was an opposite of the last heated court debate with regards them consolidating their cases into one which they were against, noting that thankfully enough, the Judge’s decision of separating the case into two that is the nine file and class action file is a sign of victory on their side as lawyers and their clients by extension.

The Senior Legal Luminary maintained that the decision by the High Court Judge will in no doubt make provision for the cases to be separated and distinct from one another for speedy trail.

He intimated the audience that the adjournment duration is very appreciable for them to put their house in order so that the next court proceeding, the defence counsel will be left with no option but to either defend or raise objections.

“I am delighted when the judge stated that he will do all in his powers to pass verdict on the said matter come the end of 2021” Chernor M. Benedict Jalloh Esq maintained. He further prayed that God of Justice will accord them justice in the said matter.

Similar sentiment was also expressed by Daniel Fofanah Esq of the C and J firm. Joseph Babar Ansumana is the District Manager for Network Movement for Justice and Development – Kono, he pointed out that the decision of the judge was exactly what they have been anticipating describing it as a step in the right direction as they want to see a fair and speedy conclusion of the matter in court.

He registered his organization and the client’s unflinching support whenever needed. According to him, the adjournment date is reasonable for their lawyers to put their house in order for the next court sitting.

Meanwhile, similar sentiments were also expressed by the chairman Marginalized Affected Property Owners (MAPO) Prince Boima and Madam Sia Janet Bayoh. The matter was adjourned to 14th July, 2021 and A – Z Media.
