The program emphasizes holistic healing, aiming to restore dignity and hope for a brighter future.
During the discharge ceremony, Hon. Demby Austin commended the resilience of the survivors and highlighted the importance of community support in their recovery. “Today, we celebrate not just the healing of bodies, but the restoration of spirits,” he said. “These youths have shown incredible strength and determination, and it is our responsibility to continue supporting them as they reintegrate into society.”
The event was attended by social welfare officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders, who recognized the collective effort required to assist these young survivors. The collaboration between the government and non-governmental organizations underscores a shared commitment to providing essential services to those in need.
As these youths begin their journey of reintegration, ongoing support from both the community and the government will be crucial to ensuring their successful transition.
