President Bio Urges Decisive Action at First Cabinet Meeting

His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio presided over the first Cabinet meeting of 2026, setting a bold tone for the year as a pivotal period for national progress.

In a firm address to his ministers, the President emphasized that 2026 must be marked by decisive action aimed at improving the lives of all Sierra Leoneans.

“Our mandate is clear: we must accelerate our nation’s progress and ensure that the changes we implement have a meaningful impact on society,” President Bio declared. He urged each ministry to prioritize action-oriented initiatives that address pressing issues, including healthcare, education, and infrastructure development.

During the meeting, ministers were called upon to focus on practical solutions and the efficient execution of government programs. The President stressed the importance of accountability and transparency, reminding attendees that Sierra Leoneans expect tangible results from their government. “It is our responsibility to create a legacy of positive change that our people can feel in their daily lives,” he stated.
