The producers of Jabba Tribe have unveiled plans to premiere what they describe as one of the biggest movies ever produced in Sierra Leone, positioning the film as a catalyst for reviving the country’s struggling film industry.

Speaking at the premiere, Augusta Doratee Tucker, Coordinator of the Jabba Tribe project, said the movie presents a holistic narrative that brings together different tribes in a collective fight for their communities. She explained that the production team intentionally used Jabba Tribe to reshape the narrative of filmmaking in Sierra Leone and to project the country as a destination for international cinema.

According to Tucker, the team worked collaboratively to ensure a successful premiere, noting that the event marks only the beginning of a broader promotional campaign. “There are going to be many more advertisements for this movie, but today is just the first of many,” she said.

She revealed that Jabba Tribe is expected to reignite interest in local films, adding that many Sierra Leoneans had lost confidence in the industry over the years. The movie, she said, aims to restore that belief and encourage audiences to re-engage with homegrown productions.

Tucker also expressed gratitude to the cast and crew, highlighting the involvement of several international actors. She described the project as life-changing—not only for Sierra Leone, but for Africa as a whole.

Assistant Director Isaac Ishmael Koroma described Jabba Tribe as an epic film that addresses tribal conflict and warns against the dangers of division. He said the movie seeks to educate audiences about the negative consequences of tribal wars, particularly in fragile states such as Sierra Leone.

Koroma added that the production, made under the US–Africa Movie Production, represents the largest movie project in the country’s history. He disclosed that plans are underway to unveil billboards, trailers, and posters ahead of scheduled premieres, including a VIP screening at Family Kingdom and a public showing at the Attouga Mini Stadium on March 26.

Concluding, Tucker said the central themes of Jabba Tribe revolve around revenge, love, unity, and Africans fighting for what rightfully belongs to them.
