Bo West Police Division Launches Cell Expansion Project to Improve Detention Facilities

In a significant display of teamwork and leadership continuity, the Deputy Regional Commander South, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mrs. Fatmata Jebeh Daboh Kamara, on behalf of the Regional Police Commander South, officially launched the expansion of the Bo West Division Cells.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks a crucial step in the ongoing effort to strengthen policing infrastructure and improve detention standards across the Southern region. The project is part of a broader initiative to ensure that police facilities meet human rights standards while supporting efficient and professional law enforcement.

The initiative, led by the Local Unit Commander (LUC) of Bo West Division, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Augustine Kabia, and his team of frontline commanders, reflects a strong commitment to turning vision into tangible action. With the full support of the Regional Command, the expansion aims to increase the Division’s detention capacity, improve security, and create a more humane environment for detainees.

During the ceremony, ACP Fatmata Jebeh Daboh Kamara commended the Bo West Command for its proactive approach and reaffirmed the Regional Command’s continued support for upgrading police facilities in the Southern region. She emphasized that the region remains committed to upholding professionalism, discipline, and community-centered policing.

She further noted that under the current regional leadership, police officers have been encouraged to think innovatively, act responsibly, and serve with renewed dedication. “This project is a testament to what teamwork, vision, and proactive leadership can achieve,” ACP Daboh Kamara stated.
