The Sierra Leone U-17 female national team has etched their name in history by winning the WAFU Zone A tournament hosted in Monrovia, Liberia. The young Sierra Queens displayed outstanding talent, resilience, and teamwork throughout the competition, capping it off with a remarkable victory in the grand finale.

Haja Ramatulai Kamara, Head of Female Football at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) hailed the achievement as a breakthrough moment, praising the players, coaches, and technical staff for their hard work. The victory also highlights the growing role of women in sports, breaking barriers and elevating Sierra Leone’s football reputation on the international stage, especially after winning two continental trophies in a single year.
