Esther Namisa Mansaray, also known as “Saw”, made another appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1 in Freetown. She is facing one count of House Breaking and Larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Monday, 12th May 2025, at the back of Villa 56, Hill Station, Freetown, the accused allegedly broke and entered the dwelling house of Musa Sidie Koroma, stealing the following items one black-colored Bluetooth speaker, physical cash amounting to three Thousand Leones (NLe 3,000), five assorted colored jeans trousers, five “Lacus” (assumed to mean shirts or similar items) and five gallon-sized rubber containers
The total value of the stolen items was estimated at Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Leones (NLe 5,840) all property of Musa Sidie Koroma.
During proceedings, the prosecuting witness, Sergeant 9939 M. Lahai, was unable to testify due to health reasons. He therefore requested an adjournment.
In the meantime, Magistrate Jah granted the accused bail in the sum of Ten Thousand Leones (NLe 10,000). The bail conditions include the accused must provide two sureties, each surety must be a resident of Freetown, and each must present a valid NCRA ID card. The bail must be approved by the DAR (District Assistant Registrar).
The matter was adjourned to 24th September 2025.
