On Wednesday, KADCO, a beverage factory, boosted Sierra Leone’s National Senior Men’s Team (Men’s Patriots) with two sets of team jerseys, including tracksuits, as the Abuja ICC showpiece nears action.
The playing gear will be used in the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup Africa Sub-Regional C Qualifier, scheduled for 21-29 November 2024 in Abuja.
On Wednesday at KADCO’s Grafton headquarters, Cricket Sierra Leone Board Chairman Francis Trevor Samura said the support will cushion their financial burden. “The kits are of high quality. I want to thank KADCO for this timely support and for being there during such needs,” he said.
Acting CEO of KADCO Arman Darwani said his company will continue to support cricket for as long as he lives. “I love Cricket. For us, cricket is a religion,” he said, wishing the Senior Men’s Patriots the best of luck in Abuja and extending his desire to incorporate the female side in their support drive.
Toeing CEO Darwani’s line was KADCO’s General Manager Oliver Somasa, who told their cricket guests the support would not cease. “We are investing in this country, and investment comes with responsibility. We are committed to our corporate social responsibility. This sponsorship is a component of that,” he said.
This is the second time in three years that KADCO has boosted the CSL Senior Men’s side since the Nigeria Bilateral Series and the Kigali ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup Africa Sub-Regional Qualifier in 2021.
