Thirty-five years old Jacob Kanu a motor cycle rider made another appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No.2 in Freetown on a count of Fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) (b) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 3rd August 2024 at Benkham Hill station the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say two gallons emulsion paints each valued one hundred and twenty Leones all to the total value of two hundred and forty leones(240) entrusted to him by Andrew Kalokoh for the purpose of delivery.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor Dpc 18235 Thoronka K.K told the Magistrate that fact as charge with no previous criminal records against the accused person.

The accused person pleaded with the magistrate to temper justice with mercy on their behalf he has learnt his lesson due to the plea mitigation by the accused person.

Magistrate Bangura sentenced him to eighteen months imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown.
