Thirty-two years old Mohamed Moriba Fabbah a contractor made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No.2 in Freetown on a count of Fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 27th July 2024 at smart farm, Upper George Brook Street the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say fifty lengths half inch iron rods, eighty pieces of 2×2 timbers and other assorted items equivalent to the total value of seventeen thousand six hundred and fifty Leones (17,650) entrusted to him by Steven Matthew Alieu for the purpose of safe custody.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person no plea was taken.
The prosecutor Sergeant 3379 Bally T sought for a short adjournment date because his witness is absent.
Meanwhile Magistrate Bangura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional facility in Freetown matter adjourned to the 30th August 2024.
