In a bid to foster transparency and keep the public informed, Orange Sierra Leone, a leading telecommunication company, held a press conference on the 11th December,2023, providing journalists with insight into the company’s progress throughout the year 2023.
The event took place at the Orange Office Headquarter, Wilberforce, where representatives from Orange SL engaged with journalists to share updates on various aspects of the company’s operations, innovations, and community initiatives.
The Director of Customer’s Experience Alpha Sulaiman Bundu kicked off the session by expressing gratitude or the continuous support from customers and the media. He highlighted the significant milestones achieved by Orange SL in 2023, emphasizing the company’s commitment to delivering quality services and contributing to the Socio-economic development of Sierra Leone.
Bundu shared into Orange SL’s marketing strategies and initiatives aimed at reaching and engaging with a broader audience. This included updates on promotional campaigns, customer loyalty programs, and partnerships that have contributed to the company’s market presence and customer satisfaction.
“…If Orange SL is considered a reference partner, and household name in terms of leading digitization, with an improved voice and package plus better coverage we owe it to the amplifying role of the media.”
He further described the media as a strong pillar and ally of support and trusted partner overtime.
“We believe that the rights of our customers become the duty of the company by making sure that they voice of a customer that carries an Orange Sim is valued,” he concludes.
Various speakers from the telecommunication institution delved into the marketing strategies and initiatives designed to reach a wider audience. Updates on promotional campaigns, customer loyalty programs, and successful partnerships were shared, showcasing orange SL ‘s efforts to strengthen its market presence and improve customer satisfaction.
Towards the climax of the interactive session, journalists had the opportunity to pose questions, delving into topics such as network reliability, new service offerings, and the company’s role in supporting local communities.
Mr Khalil Head of Public Relations commented on the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, outlining the various community projects and initiatives undertaken throughout the year. These efforts included educational programs, health initiatives, and support to local businesses.
The head of Gender for Orange SL in her closing remark expressed optimism about SL’s continued growth and its role in shaping the future of telecommunications in Sierra Leone.
