SLFA In Partnership With CAF Commences Two-Day National Workshop On Club Licensing Online Platform

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has on Monday December 11 commenced a 2-day (11 and 12 December) National Workshop on the newly launched Club Licensing Online Platform at the Raddison Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Freetown.

The CAF Platform (CLOP) is an electronic tool system designed to manage the licensing process and stadium inspections for continental and domestic competitions.

Hamza Sorouri, Francis Essah Adu, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi are the three CAF Club Licensing instructors charged with the responsibility to facilitate the training with a specific mandate of bringing up to speed the over 50 participants on their understanding of the new platform to operate their licensing system in every season.

Also, part of the objective of the workshop is to present the CAF Club Licensing regulatory framework (edition 2022) for men ́s and women’s football and to clarify the mandatory criteria for the domestic and continental competitions.

In his statement during the opening ceremony, the SLFA Vice President- 1 Harold Nat-Johnson remarked that the workshop is part of CAF’s quest to digitalize the administration of football in Africa in line with the global trend of technology growth.

Mr. Johnson urged the participants to take the training very seriously and to ensure the training of other members of their respective clubs.
