Leone Senior Men’s Cricket Team aka the Patriots of Sierra Leone defeated Mali by 8 wickets in the ongoing Africa Cricket Association ACA Men’s T20 Continental Cup Qualifier in South Africa.
At the Willomore Park’s main Cricket Stadium in Benoni republic of South Africa, Mali won the toss and elected to bat first.
The Malians could not withstand the bowling firepower of the Patriots of Sierra Leone as they were limited to 37 all out in 14.4 Overs with Chernoh Bah taking 4 wickets, George Sesay and Samuel Conteh 3 wickets apiece.
Sierra Leone replied by posting 41 runs in 2.5 overs for the loss of 2 wickets with John Bangura’ and Ibrahim Sesay making the best out of the fielding restricted overs and winning by 8 wickets.
Sierra Leone’s next match is against Cameroun in the group stage and possibly Rwanda in the Semi-final.
