Overseas Scam: Business Man To Face High Court

Twenty-five years old Ibrahim Kabia a business man made another appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Conspiracy to defraud contrary to law and two count ranging from Obtaining money by false pretences.

According to the particulars of offence on date between the 1st to 31st July 2023 at Fannah Junction Devil Hole the western area in Freetown with intent to defraud conspired with Hassan Moses and together with other persons unknown to defraud Usifu Kamara the sum of twenty one million old Leones ( 21,000,000) by falsely pretending that he will facilitate his trip for him to South Africa for Job opportunity.

 On the first appearance of the accused person, the charges were read and explained to the accused person and No plea was taken.

Delivering his ruling, Magistrate Ngegba said the prosecution has adduced sufficient evidence in order to warrant a committal of the matter to the High Court, the matter was committed.

 The accused person was sent to the male correctional center in Freetown.

 Assistant Superintendent of police Ibrahim S Mansaray is prosecuting the matter.
