After being approved by the Sierra Leone Football Association together with other venues across Sierra Leone for artificial turf installation project, Eder Grass, a Dutch Construction company is at an advance stage of the construction work.
Alex P Musa is the project Engineer at the Bo Coronation field, giving an overview of their operation so far he said, the rain have been the major inhibitive factor but however stated that they have completed the levelling of the pitch to the required standard and they are on the drainage work which will be completed in the next two weeks.
“We still have backfilling and some concrete work to do before the final levelling and the laying of the turf” he revealed.
Highlighting the importance of the drainage, Alex said it will be the pathway for rain water during the downpours.
The project according to him will comprise of a perimeter fence, Floodlights (for night activities), and a hundred seater pavilion.
He called all to be patient as they are doing a standard job which on completion will be an eye catching edifice
Meanwhile, the project is expected to be completed in March 2024.
The Sierra Leone Football Association is currently working on three of Artificial turf Pitches in three venues across the Country.
