The Director of Public Education and External Outreach Department, Anti-Corruption Commission Sierra Leone (ACC-SL) Patrick Sandi, is currently participating in an Advocacy Meeting in Benin spanning from Tuesday 7th November to Thursday 9th November, 2023.
The meeting which is held at the Societe Ganna Hotel Conference Room, in Grand Popo, Benin, attracted representatives from the Procurement Units of the Ministries of Health and Education, Civil Society Organizations and State Officials in Benin.
Moreover, the meeting is organized by the Social Watch Organization Benin, in partnership with the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC), SEND SL, with support from the Open Society Foundation for Africa otherwise known as OSIWA, focused on the three countries of Sierra Leone, Benin and Ghana in order to share their experiences in regard the different actions and interventions made relating to the fight against corruption in the Ministries of Health and Education in regard public procurement under the project titled : Uniting Constituencies to fight corruption in Health and education in West Africa.
Statements were made by the Executive Secretary of GACC Beauty Nartey, the Program Manager OSIWA Paul Adeyeye, and presentations on the project implementation done by Wurie Kargbo SEND SL and Samuel Harrison Cudjoe, Program Officer GACC.
The ACC’s Director of Public Education and Outreach will make his detailed presentation on Wednesday 8th November, 2023, where he will articulate the ACC’s interventions, best practices and innovations in curbing corruption in public procurement, in the Health and Education Sectors.
Other members of the Team from Sierra Leone include; _Alieu Moigboi, Director Capacity Building NPPA , Justice Ganawa, Senior Economist, Institute for Governance Reform (IGR), Wurie Kargbo, Project Lead and Alhajie Musa Kamara, Advocacy Advisor- the last two from SEND SL.
