Alleged Possession Of OSD Uniform: Trader Remanded

Favor Jajua a trader was on Monday 23rd October 2023, sent to prison by Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No1 for unlawful possession of an OSD uniform without lawful authority.

The accused made his first appearance in court and was charge with one count of unlawful possession contrary to section 33(1) of Cap 37 as amended by section 5 of Act No 6 of 1981.

According to the charge sheet the accused Favor Jajua on Wednesday 11th October 2023, at Congo Cross Freetown was found in the possession of one Sierra Leone police operational support division polo suspected to been unlawful obtained property of the Sierra Leone.

When the charges were read and explained to him, he pleaded guilty as he has no legal representation made on his behalf.

According to a brief fact of the matter,  one chief Inspector Amidu Kamara an OSD officer attached to OSD headquarters arrested and brought to accused to the Congo cross police station as he was found wearing delta polo.

The prosecutor Inspector Mabel Tarawally informed the court that the matter is fact as charge and in the circumstance requested for an adjournment to come with the exhibit.

Magistrate Ngegba refused bail and adjourned the matter to 27th October 2023.
