The Senior Men’s Patriots, comprising 14 players including 4 accompanying umpires, will depart the shores of Freetown early to represent Sierra Leone in the West Africa Trophy slated for October 4 through October 15, 2023 in Lagos Nigeria.
Sierra Leone is joining Ghana, Rwanda, and host country Nigeria in a tournament arranged to last for ten days, featuring 20 matches at the famous, newly refurbished Tawafa Balewa Square.
Sierra Leone is going to play nine matches. It is pitted to face Ghana on tournament opening day, October 4.
On Match Day 2, the Senior Men’s Patriots will engage the Yellow-Green of Nigeria. Both sides have met more than ten times both within and outside ICC arrangements.
The West Africa Trophy is organized to keep the senior sides of the representative countries engaged as a new date has been set for the ACA Cup, which was earlier scheduled for South Africa.
