31 years old Lamin Kargbo a Masoner made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Ross Road Court No.1 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Robbery with violence, Wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 16th May 2023 at Rogbangba the western area in Freetown Robbed Emmanuel Sesay one infinite mobile phone 20, one KG tel mobile phone, one old Bluetooth, one driving licence and other items all to the total value of eleven thousand eight hundred and ninety Leones(Le 11,890) and immediately before or after such Robbery did use personal violence on the said Emmanuel Sesay; and on count two and three the accused person maliciously wounded and assaulted the said Emmanuel Sesay in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
Sergeant 9874 Memunatu M Turay led second Prosecution witness (PW2) Sergeant 5515 Maseray Kamara attached at the regional Anti Robbery unit Ross Road Police Station said she recognized the complainant and the accused person and recalled 2nd June. PW 2 said whilst on duty at the said office a transfer case of inquiry files from Hastings police post was brought together with the accused person and the matter was allocated to her for investigation. PW 2said on the 3rd June 2023 she cautioned and charges the accused person with the offence he is standing trial on in krio language which was recorded in English language; the charge statement was produced and tendered in court to form part of the court records.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of fifty thousand Leones with one surety in like sum surety to be resident within the western area surety to produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar. Matter was adjourned to the 22nd August 2023 for further hearing.
