The former aspiring running mate candidate for the main opposition All People’s Congress party in the 2023 multitier elections Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Amara Kamara AKA Jargaban has afoot plans to single-handedly construct an APC district office in Koidu city.
This was disclosed to our correspondent in an interview with the project manager of the Jargaban movement in Sierra Leone Elhaji Kallie Bangura during the official launch of the said construction work in Koidu City on Sunday 11th June 2023.
According to him the construction of the party office is a fulfillment of a promise made by Mr Kamara upon a request made by the executives of the party in Kono district whilst Jargaban was contesting to become the running mate to Dr Samura Kamara.
He noted that the work will not last more than six months as it’s the continuation of the work which has been done in the said office seven years ago. The project manager Jargaban Movement in Sierra Leone intimated to this medium that the construction when completed will house offices of all the executive positions in the district, a complex hall and a car park; noting it’s going to be a modern building that will comprise all the facilities of a public structure.
He debunked the allegation that Jargaban is been financed by the APC party to expense money adding Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Amara Kamara AKA Jargaban is a business tycoon that is more than able to commit such developments single-handedly. Elhaji Kallie Bangura pointed out that the construction of the APC party office in Kono district by Jargaban has nothing to do with politicking but just out of magnanimity implored his fellow APCIANS to emulate the good examples of Mr Kamara who contested for an enviable position but didn’t win and he is still giving back to the party.
Sahr Mattia is the APC Kono district chairman when talking to our correspondent about the construction of their party office he expressed delight for such development in his tenure of office.
He said the construction work came as a result of the request he made to Jargaban during his visit to Kono district to campaign for the running mate position. He said the construction of the party office is very important as it will use to discuss party-related issues and the progress of the party.
Chairman Mattia assured Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Amara Kamara AKA Jargaban of the proper use of the party office when completed.
On his part, Engineer Abdul Wahab Bah said the first phase of the construction has been done adding the work on the office will not last long this is a result of most of the materials for the work are now available and that workers for the construction are contracted on the ground. He said the construction of the party office when completed will be one of the best public buildings in the district.
