Two goals from Sheku Kallon and Mohamed Kanu have helped Wilberforce Strikers to defeat Port Authority FC by two goals to nil at the Parade grounds in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.
Sheku Kallon scored the early goal from the penalty spot in the 47 minutes and Mohamed seal off the victory for Wilberforce Strikers in the 90 minutes to give his side hopes of fighting for survival in the Premier League.
The win marks their fifth in the Premier League as they fight for relegation, while Port Authority FC the defeats mark their 10 in the league after (29) matches played.
At the Koidu Townfiled, Diamond Stars FC has to score a late goal to deny Kamboi Eagles Football Club all three points at home, the Eagles take the league in the early first half as Lamin Bockarie scored from (18) the yard box give his side the league. Diamond Stars Football Club gets the equalizing in the (69) minutes as Mohamed Fofanah scored from the penalty spot.
At the Lungi Central field, Lamboi FC lost to the Current Champions BO Rangers who are currently leading the log with (69) points and fifteen points clear.
Abu Komeh scored the early goal in the first half from a close-range shot to give his side the win and Amadu Kabineh seal the win for the Rangers as he scored the winning goal to give them hope as they move closer to regaining their title back.
At the Angola field, Freetonians SLIFA and FC Johansen settle for a (1-1) all draw, as Yeyeh Turay scored in the (48) minutes for Freetonians SLIFA, and Kemoh Mansaray get equaling deep in the second half of play.
At the Brima Attougia Mini Stadium, Freetown City Council lost to Mighty Blackpool FC by a goal to nil, the win takes Mighty Blackpool FC to the second spot while the defeats left the Council in eighth position.
Sierra Leone Premier League continues over the weekend as the battle for relegation intensifies at the bottom of the log.
