Orange SL Engages Media on 2022-2023 Achievements

The leading mobile phone company with the widest coverage Orange S.L. has engaged the press on various progress the company has registered during the 2022-2023 activities.  It was described as the first media opening for 2023.

Making the opening statements, the Public Relations Officer Mabel Mason said the company appreciates their presence and the interest they have displayed towards the progress of Orange S.L.

The PRO added that the company recognizes the relentless efforts of the media in propagating the interest and programs of the company.

Whereas the Keynote Speaker, Chairman Bollor T. Sesay extols the media in playing a key role in the successes of Orange S.L. He said the media played an important role in building brand awareness, connecting to customers and also achieving business goals. He said the media is important for promoting products and services to the public and the company relies heavily on such media channels (T.V, Radio, social media and Print media). Mr Sesay said it is to note that brand awareness and more is one of the critical roles the media has engaged in for the company. He further recognized that the media created a channel for both the company and its existing customers, dealing with customers’ issues and they can now reach Orange through many social platforms and resolve their conflicts in a timely manner.

“Through the media, Orange can now monitor customers sentiments, and give them satisfaction on its products and services,” he said.

He added that the media is been used to promote its brand values, and cooperate initiatives, and to raise awareness of it cooperate social responsibilities. Through the media customers acknowledged the company’s financial inclusions, women empowerment and youth development programs.

 “These publicity through the media has helped strengthen the company’s reputation and brand image in the public eyes,” he noted.

He concluded that media has played an integral role in the company’s business setting through marketing, advertising, facilitating customer services and boosting its image and credibility; without the media, the company achieve its aim and objectives.

The General Secretary of Orange S.L., Madam Danetta Younge described the moment as symbolic for the company by recognizing the significance of the media and appreciating their unwavering commitment to fostering the brand and image of Orange S/Leone.

Madam Younge added that the company recognize the media for upholding the critical stance of the Freedom of the press and informing the public. She urged the media to be fair, accurate and well-reported in promoting the affairs and brand image of the orange company.

The Head of Public Relations, Kamal Abass takes on the media through a marathon explanation of the progress Orange S/Leone has made in various activities at the start of this year. He briefs the media on the activities the company has taken and its success stories. He said as a leading mobile telecom service they can now boost of having a total staff rate of 373 staff national wide and be the first telecom mobile company to incorporate mobile finance service since 2019. He said Orange S/ Leone has a strong stance against corruption and fraud. the public can report such practices by calling the shortcode 505. For Corporate responsibility, Barrie said Orange has been contributing to the state economy by paying its annual business taxes. He said their contributions towards the environment are key, therefore, they acknowledge the potential environmental impact that their operations may have had on the environment. He further added that they have ensured the reduction of carbon footprint, environmental compliance and ensure the protection of the environment. This applies to management, employees, and all Orange Sierra Leone Service providers.

 A brief and succinct update was stated about the situation of the 50 Ebola-surviving kids that are under company care.
