Detective Sergeant 10454 Sesay Ferewah of the Harbour Divisional CID, acting under the supervision of the Divisional Crime Officer ASP Mohammed Kandeh, on Friday 12th May 2023 made claimant Abu Bakarr Bangura very happy after his stolen TVS motorbike with Registration number AQT 260 was shown to him for proper identification.
Previously, based on an intelligent-led tipoff, D/Sgt. 10454 Sesay and his colleague intercepted and arrested suspect Alpha Kamara of Bus Station on Wednesday 10th May 2023 together with the said motorbike after he attempted to sell it for one thousand new Leones (Le 1,000) at the Race Course Scrap Yard.
During the investigation, the suspect admitted to having stolen the motorbike from Bolling Street, Kingtom. And upon enquires from the area where the motorbike was stolen, claimant Abu Bakarr Bangura who had previously reported the matter at the Adelaide Street Police Station was happily informed by the police to show proof of ownership and to which he gladly produced a photocopy of the motorbike’s life card.
