Mosques receive Qurans from Muslim Congress

Several Mosques at Allentown in Freetown and Newton have received quantities of Qurans from the Sierra Leone Muslims Congress the organization is currently headed by professor Abdul Babatunde Karim and is serving as an umbrella for Islamic organisations in Sierra Leone.

It also closely works with the United Council of Imams in Sierra Leone.

 Muslims at Newton have expressed gratitude when they donated quantities of Qurans from the Sierra Leone Muslim Congress during the month of Ramadan.

 Among the Mosque that benefited were Mosque at Foofoo Water, Curve, Six Mile, five mile and Newton Mosque expressed gratitude for the gift since Qurans have become expensive.

 The organisation has been one of the oldest Islamic organisations in Sierra Leone the current secretary General Abdul Cole is reported to be coming out with initiatives to help professor Babatunde Karim lift the organisation to higher heights.
