The only female aspirant for the mayoral symbol for the main opposition All People’s Congress Party Beatrice Edwina Koroma Kamara has disclosed her plans when elected mayor of the Makeni city council in the fourth coming general elections. She made the disclosure when declaring her intentions for the mayoral position Makeni city council under the APC on Saturday 11th March 2023.

Madam Kamara highlighted the following as her plans when elected mayor of the aforementioned city: to serve her people, to up skill teachers for the enhancement of quality education noting her leadership mantra will focus on ln novation, Technology and entrepreneurship.

The APC mayoral contender intimated the audience that when elected street begging and trading including other social menace will be the thing of the past because she will create safe homes for street beggars and modern markets where certain goods and commodities are sold in different market places.

 She said the much talked about distinct clock tower in the municipality of Makeni will be addressed as time is very important.

Revenue generation she maintained will be top on her scale of preference as she puts it “money is the lubricant that lubricates the world.

“My city will be one of the cleanest cities not only in Sierra Leone but Africa as a whole the APC mayoral aspirant concluded. Meanwhile Emilia Kamara Jengo is  a human Rights activist in Makeni when reacting to the declaration of madam Kamara she foremost underscored her intentions for contesting for the mayoral position in Makeni city as for far too long the men folk have been ruling with nothing or little to show forth.

She noted that there is nothing bad about having two different women running for the said position for two consecutive terms as there is power in the leadership of women.

Similar sentiment was also expressed by a popular disable man in the municipality of Makeni Joseph P Kamara AKA Pelleh.
