The title for the Sierra Leone Premier League get hitted over the weekend as one of the title contenders Mighty Blackpool and league leader Bo Rangers shared the spoils in a fascinating encounter at the Angola Town field.
The match started with a high pace from the two teams as both strikers came close to take lead in the much-contested match from both players, but the first half ended goalless.
After the first half recess, both teams returned to the pitch with the high determination of getting a winning goal, Musa Noah Kamara the informed Striker of Bo Rangers opened the goal by coring in the 52 minutes of play as he converted a loose ball in the (18) yards and buried it home to give his side the early lead in the match, but that only lasted for few minutes as Mighty Blackpool get the equalizing in the (75) munite.
Santigie Sesay converted from the left hand sided to give him the equalizing in a highly contested match.
Bo Rangers remains the only unbeaten team in the league so far while Mighty Blackpool is yet to lose a match at home. The Elephants still maintain their 6 points lead at the top of the table. A win for them would have seen them extend their lead to 9 points. The Tis Tas Boys on the other hand were hoping to cut the gap to 3 points if they secured a win.
Mighty Blackpool will next face Freetonians SLIFA, whilst Bo Rangers welcomes Diamond Stars in the final round of matches to end the first phase of the league.
The other result in the Sierra Leone Premier League across the Country, in Kono at the Koidu Mini Stadium Diamond Stars lost at home to Bai Bureh Warriors, as the Warriors won by a goal to nil.
Luawa Football Club where held at home by Freetown City Council by (1-1) all draw at the Parade grounds.
East End Tigers Football Club lost at home against the Kamboi Eagles Football Club.
