Chief Whip Renders Free Medical Care To Victims Of Bo Stadium Accident

Exhibiting his Corporate Social Responsibility Coupled with philanthropist and humanitarian gesture, the Chief Whip of the Fifth Parliament of the Second Republic of Sierra Leone who also doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of the Mamasa Life Saving Hospital, Voice of Wanjama Radio and Mamasa Fishing Company Sierra Leone, Hon. Dickson Momoh Rogers has rendered Free Medical Services to Pupils who were involved in the Bo Mini Stadium incident during the launch of the Free Sanitary Pads.

Chief Whip said shortly after the incident, he emphatically instructed the hospital management to render free medical treatment to any affected pupil. He expressed dismay that only a few children (about five) accompanied by their parents using motorbikes were able to access the hospital even though the hospital was expecting more.

“The Mamasa Life Saving Hospital has on Thursday 2nd of February 2023 rendered free medical treatment to School girls that sustained injuries after one of the railings at the Bo Stadium collapsed during the launched and distribution of free sanitary pads by his Excellency, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and the first lady Dr Fatima Maada Bio to thousands of school going girls at the Bo Stadium”, he said.

Chief Whip Hon. Dickson Momoh Rogers intimated that the affected school girls were pupils of the Queen of the Rosary Secondary School (QRS) Bo. He edified that the pupils sustained minor injuries like shock, bruises, pain etc. He added that nurses that were on duty and those on brake were all on board to speedily administer treatment to the affected children all in the spirit of patriotism and service to humanity.

As part of a swift response to the incident, Chief Whip Parliament representing constituents of Constituency 100, also disclosed that the management of the hospital dispatched an ambulance to transport the affected girls to taken hospital but upon arrival at the Bo Mini-Stadium, most of the affected girls were already taken to the Government Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Chief Whip gave glad tidings that all of the pupils who sought free medical service had been discharged. The Chief Whip of Parliament, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Mamasa Life Saving Hospital, wished the affected pupils a speedy recovery.
