23 yrs-old man identified as Komba Kpakama is reported to have hung himself to death in a bush at Wayndadu village in Gbense Chiefdom Kono District.
According to the information Officer Tankoro Police Divisional Headquarters in Koidu City Kono District, Komba Sourie said the aforementioned police division received a report on the 30th November 2022 from a resident of Wayndadu village named Aiah Kamanda that the deceased was found hanging on a rope on a mango tree staked naked in the bush.
Komba Sourie said that upon receiving the report they went to the scene of crime and conveyed the remains of the deceased to the Koidu Government Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination while the police investigation is in progress.
The information officer Tankoro Police divisional headquarters Komba Sourie maintained that during the police investigation the biological mother of the deceased Kumba Mansaray noted that her son who never had a permanent dwelling place last visited her in an abnormal state noting that the unusual status of her son cannot be unconnected with the consumption of drugs as for the short time he spent at her place he was saying that people were chasing after him.
However, she said she was surprised by the news that her son hung himself to death, and she further told the police investigator that since her son started his primary schooling he was never consistent and as a result, he left school for skill training course which he also never completed but chooses to roam the street.
Meanwhile, the police investigation into the said matter continues.
