Joe Biden To Host President Bio For U.S-Africa Leadership Summit In Washington

The United States Department has announced that Joseph R.  Biden, President of the United States of America would be hosting leaders from across the African continent in Washington DC on December 13-15, 2022, for the U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit.

As stated by the State Department, the Summit demonstrates the United States’ enduring commitment to Africa, and also underscores the importance of U.S.-Africa relations and increased cooperation on shared global priorities.

The Summit is geared towards shaping the future of Africa not just the future of the African people, but of the world. It will ensure that Africa makes the difference in tackling the most urgent challenges and seizing the opportunities faced by the globe.

The U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit will build on the following  shared values such as;  Foster new economic engagement,  Advance peace, security, and good governance, Reinforce commitment to democracy, human rights, and civil society,  Work collaboratively to strengthen regional and global health security, Promote food security,  Respond to the climate crisis,  Amplify diaspora ties, Promote education and youth leadership.

The States Department looks forward to working with African governments, civil society, diaspora communities across the United States, and the private sector to continue strengthening their shared vision for the future of U.S.-Africa relations.
