Santigie Kargbo a Petty trader made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 15th October 2022 at Lumley Road the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say thirty pieces of Ladies Jeans trousers valued fifteen new Leones each all to the total value of four hundred and fifty New Leones(450) entrusted to him by Foday Sorie Sesay for the purpose of sale.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and no plea taken.
The prosecutor Sergeant 10041 Marion R.E Koroma to the bench that her witness is absent and requested for an adjournment date.
Main while, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown and matter adjourned to the 25th November 2022 for further hearing.
