Mountain City Community team will today play with the Kroo Town Road Community team in the Semi-finals of the Central One Football Association inter-Community league at the Parade ground in Freetown.
Mountain City F.C reached the Semi-final stage after defeating Abacha City by a goal to nil at the Parade ground, and are set to face their counterpart Kroo Town Road Community in the Semi-final. While the Kroo Town Road F.C reached the semi-finals after defeating Calaba Tong Community by a goal to nil. However, today’s match will be a decider because a win for either side will make it to the final to play against Foulah Town Community, Dove Cut or Summer City in the final.
Mountain City has reached the finals one time and lost to Foulah Town Community, whilst Kroo Town road F.C is yet to reach the final of the Central One Football Association but has a good record in this year’s competition as they are yet to lose any match in this year’s competition.
Mohamed Yapo Sillah one of the Chief organizers said they have put all mechanisms in place for proper Security and different roots which the two communities are going to use when entering and when going out of the Stadium.
The winner of this year’s competition will go home with fifty million Leone while the runners-up will go home with thirty million Leones.
