They hold on til the second half at (3-0) in favor of the Malians.
After the recess, Sierra Leone (Shooting) came back in the second half with a more determined mind to see how best they can score all three goals back and possibly get their first win in the WAFU Opener, but the strikers were not clinical in their final third to convert most of their chances to goal.
They continue to fight hard but it was difficult for them to get a goal back, but getting three valid goals in first half, the Malian team was aware that holding on will be enough for them to get their first win against Sierra Leone.
