SLPP Wins Supporters In Safroko Limba: Party Agents trained on Voter Registration

Party agents in Safroko Limba Chiefdom in Binkolo have been trained on how to handle the voter’s registration process to commence on Saturday 3rd September 2022.

The Chairman and Leader of the Northern Young Politicians of the SLPP, Sheikh Umarr Amin Kanu said they saw the need to train their party agents on the forth coming general election voter registration process.

“We have to teach our representatives properly so the right thing can be done for the party’s victory in the 2023 elections”, he said, adding that they are explaining  more details to the agents teaching them to follow  the mandate outlined by the Electoral Commission for the conduct of the elections.

 He said there is wide acceptance for President Julius Maada Bio, noting that people are coming over to the SLPP by conviction and not harassment like other political parties are doing. He said President Bio’s development stride is being recognized in that part of the country which was considered as an opposition stronghold.

He called on the agents to rest assured that the party is with them and recognizes their role towards the success of the party. He said they want the election to be violence free and credible.

During the training session, the District Chaplain, Madam Marian K. Mattia called on the agents to be vigilant and be watchful so that no manipulations take place during the registration and voting processes.

She said there is possibility that opposition politicians will try to create some discrepancies right from the registration process. She said anything that makes the party fall should not be tolerated.

The District Immam, Alusine Kanu expressed the need for the people of Safroko Limba Chiefdom to continue supporting the ruling SLPP. He stressed that there is need for massive registration of SLPP supporters in the Chiefdom. He appealed   that with the cooperation of the agents, the SLPP stands to gain victory come the 2023 elections.

Some of the participants expressed their continued support for the party. They promised to serve the party and remain vigilante during the electioneering processes.

Nancy Kargbo, the Women’s Leader in the Chiefdom told this medium that the training is beneficial. She said thought the area is said to be an opposition stronghold, the SLPP has been making steady inroads gaining supporters on daily bases.

Chairman of the Constituency, Issa Yamba Thullah said the training was successful. Hesaid their intension is for the party to clinch victory and the President remaining in power to continue with his development agenda 

In Constituency 034, there are over fifty party agents with thirty – two coming from Safroko Limba Chiefdom. The training session took place at the Alhadi Junior Secondary School at Kaboly. Issues surrounding the checking of valid accreditations were also raised during the training exercise and well explained during the exercise.
