The donated learning materials include Geometry sets, log books, pens, pencils, raincoats etc.  Donating the aforementioned learning materials the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Skynie Girl Child Foundation, Skynie Sia Sinah maintained that the foundation launched is a non – governmental and profit making organization that seeks to improve access to basic services and standards of living for vulnerable girls in different communities in the country.

She noted that what motivated her to form the foundation is that despite the high poverty rate in the country the beneficiaries of the foundation before lacked basic medical education and water and sanitation (WASH) facilities in their respective communities.

She thanked the efforts of both local and international organizations for cushioning the challenges and urged them to do more. The founder and executive officer of Skynie Girl Child Foundation disclosed plans of establishing partnerships with likeminded organizations.

Madam Skynie Sia Sinah intimated to the audience that the vision of the foundation is to ensure that the girl child is seen as a powerful weapon to enhance success and development rather than serving as wives relegated to the kitchen for cooking and childbearing purposes.

She said the foundation is presently operating in Kono District and the western area adding that over the years the foundation has donated similar learning materials to more than two hundred girls, and advised beneficiaries of the donated materials to treat their academic work seriously as quality education is the key to sustainable development.
