43yrs old Alimamy Kamara made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Obtaining money by false pretences contrary to section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on a date unknown between 12th October 2021 and 18th February 2022 at Ferry Junction the western area in Freetown with intent to defraud obtained the total sum of fifty two million Leones (52,000,000) from Alimamy Kamara with the pretext that you will facilitate his Son Alusine Kamara traveling from Sierra Leone to England knowing same to be false.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty
However Magistrate Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of one hundred million Leones or one surety in like sum surety must be elderly and responsible citizen the surety should produce identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar.
Matter adjourned to the 22nd June 2022 for further hearing Sergeant 9155 Dwight Macarthy prosecuting the Matter.
