Impeccable information reaching this medium state that a group of thieves have settled near a swamp at Gbetuwa Street in Koidu City Kono District.
The information noted that the said groups of thieves are in the municipality of Koidu with the pretext of being mechanics brought over for certain jobs.
Sources further maintained that the said group of thieves both day and night does patrol within the municipality of Koidu in a blue car with a Guinean registration number plate thereby disturbing the peace of meaningful citizens in Koidu City especially around James Sinnah street by Bullom.
Some residents of Gbetuwa Street in Koidu City who spoke to A-Z noted that since the reported thieves settled in their community they find it very difficult to sleep with both eyes closed. They said in one of the operations of the thieves in question, they succeeded carting away a television set, Jerry cans of palm oil including household materials worth millions of Leones from a woman who recently lost her husband.
According to them in an attempt to carry out their criminal activities at night the thieves in question have totally destroyed a newly fixed windows and doors of an unfinished house at Gbetewa Street in Koidu City. Meanwhile, residents of Gbetuwa and James Sinnah street including Bullom area in Koidu City have called on the police to extend their night patrols in their communities so that they will not only have sound night rest but their properties to be equally protected.
